Forestry & Logging

"The rapport and respect that Strettons has with finance institutions has made it easy for us to finance the rapid growth in our business.”

“Our first accountant was Pat Brown in 1976. In 1986, Mark King stepped in to help Pat with his logging contractors. Since then our business has grown, with the help of Strettons, from a partnership with 3 employees and one $45,000 log skidder to my own company employing 5 independent subcontractors, 10 employees and using specialised logging equipment with an all up value in excess of $4.5m.

For the past 27 years Strettons have been our office, providing specialist payroll functions, paying all our bills, keeping us up to date with monthly reporting and even curbing spending habits when needed. The rapport and respect that Strettons has with financial institutions, coupled with knowledge of the industry, has made it easy for us to finance the rapid growth in our business."
Willie & Charlotte Tukaki - W Tukaki Contracting Ltd

With Taupo’s location in the heart of the North Island’s sprawling pine forests, a heavy logging and forestry presence is felt throughout the town and wider region. Strettons has grown up alongside the industry, cutting our teeth on the forestry and logging boom of the 1950s and 60s. We’ve been around since the beginning and closely involved since the mid 1970s. Our clients in this industry are quick to take advantage of our extensive industry knowledge and ability to get things done. We take care of all the paper pushing, number crunching and financial wrangling to let our clients get down to core business functions of growing, harvesting, hauling and processing our local renewable forests.
